FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of locust control in hayfields. Method of locust larvae and imago destruction in hayfields involves treatment of hayfields with an ultra-small amount of Operkot Akro insecticide with application of aerosol mist with dispersion of 70–120 mcm by Farmate 3WF-5aerosol generator, with coverage width of 150 m, with consumption of 3 l/ha.
EFFECT: proposed method of locust larvae and imago extermination due to application of aerosol mist significantly increases insecticidal efficacy of Operkot Akro preparation, allows to treat hayfields with an ultra-low amount of insecticide, increases duration of its action, ensures its environmental friendliness due to reduced volume of insecticide.
