FIELD: nuclear power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering and can be used in processing liquid radioactive wastes. Installation for cementing liquid radioactive wastes includes a container placed on a transport system which is used to move the container from a unit for loading cement with additives to a unit for supplying liquid radioactive wastes and preparing a cement compound in the container. Container is alternately docked with separate loading and feeding units. LRW supply unit is combined with a reusable mixing device for mixing components of the cement compound. After preparing the cement compound, the mixing device is withdrawn from the container for further use. Preparation unit is equipped with a drop catcher to prevent uncontrolled spread of radioactive substances from the surface of the mixing device. After preparing the cement compound, the container is directed for closure.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce volumes of secondary wastes, to reduce material costs for LRW cementing and to increase environmental safety of the process.
