FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in occlusion correction. Orthodontic activator containing lower and upper trays with orthodontic elements is used. Bead is installed on the upper jaw tray to correct the parafunction of the tongue, and on the lower jaw tray, starting from teeth 44, 34, following the canines, guides are installed, overlapping the length of two subsequent teeth, to prevent the tongue placement on the lower jaw and its direction per bead. Trapezoidal guides are installed on the outer surface of the side sections of the upper and lower trays. Orthodontic activator is made in four stages – at the first stage, 3D scanning of the oral cavity is carried out, the obtained data are loaded into the CAD/CAM program and the shape and ratio of the jaws are virtually corrected; at the second stage, planned 3D jaw structure with orthodontic elements is modelled; at the third stage, the structure of planned 3D model of the jaw with orthodontic elements obtained at the second stage is sent for printing to 3D printer; at the fourth stage, an orthodontic activator is made from a biocompatible material based on the structure printed at the third stage, which includes the lower and upper trays and orthodontic elements.

EFFECT: use of an orthodontic activator by making an orthodontic activator, including a lower and upper trays made in the framework of one compression, taking into account the effect of the orthodontic elements installed on the trays, it allows creating the optimal strains in the tray structure sufficient for the specified correction of the upper and lower jaw position and the tongue parafunction correction.
