FIELD: dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: used for orthodontic treatment of patients with distal occlusion. The kit for orthodontic treatment of patients with distal occlusion contains at least two aligners made of polymer material having the shape of a dentition, at least one working cavity for applying constant pressure on the teeth, as well as protruding wings oriented towards the buccal side on the right and left, placed on the aligner for the upper jaw in the projection of the first molars, and on the aligner for the lower jaw between the premolars. In this case, on the buccal surface of the wings there are reinforcing elements made in the form of diagonal stiffening ribs connected in the middle of the buccal surface of the wings with transverse and longitudinal stiffening ribs intersecting at right angles, or on the buccal surface of the wings there are reinforcing elements made in the form of hemispherical protrusions of a larger and smaller diameters, which are interconnected and arranged in a checkerboard pattern. In this case, the patient is examined by collecting anamnesis, examining the face and oral cavity, and performing functional tests. Computed tomography, teleradiography, orthopantomography and photography are also performed. Scans are obtained from the upper and lower jaws, as well as in the constructive bite. Based on the data obtained, tooth movements are simulated using a 3D digital model. At the first stage, the dentition is expanded, the crowded position and rotation of the teeth are eliminated, and the inclination of the frontal group of teeth is corrected. At the second stage, at least two aligners with wings protruding towards the buccal side are installed on the upper and lower dentition. After the treatment, to consolidate the result obtained, a retention period follows, which includes wearing an orthodontic device - an elastopositioner - for 2-3 years at night.
EFFECT: kit and method provide a reduction in the overall treatment period and a reduction in the frequency of control visits to the orthodontist due to the simultaneous correction of the position of the teeth and the correction of the distal occlusion.
