SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to abdominal surgery, gastroenterology and can be used in treating overweight and morbid obesity accompanied by reflux oesophagitis, which is not amenable to conservative therapy. After longitudinal gastrectomy 9 cm from the distal end of the round ligament of the liver, a ligature is applied. After the ligament is passed behind the oesophagus, the ligature is sutured to the distal end of the ligament to form a loop around the gastric sleeve.

EFFECT: method provides creating an additional restrictive ring from the round ligament of the liver around the gastric sleeve, which fixes the position of the cardia of the gastric sleeve and limits the displacement of the abdominal oesophagus; reduced frequency of relapse of weight gain after longitudinal gastrectomy and reduced postoperative complications; formed acute angle of His provides prevention of gastroesophageal reflux disease.
