FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of destructive testing of materials, namely to destructive methods of reconstruction of continuous distribution of components of residual stresses in structural elements. For a bar with a rectangular cross-section, cut from a metal product, first, determined by drilling holes the distribution of the longitudinal component of residual stresses near its upper σ-(z), 0≤z<z- and lower σ+(z), z+<z≤h surfaces z=0,h, where z is the bar thickness coordinate; then, by cutting into strips and measuring their deflection, the distribution of the longitudinal component of natural deformations along the thickness of the bar is determined ε0*(z) on inner section z-≤z≤z+; and then using these data missing fragments of distributions along the thickness of the bar of the longitudinal component of residual stresses σ0(z) on inner section z-≤z≤z+ and longitudinal components of own deformations ε-*(z), 0≤z≤z- and ε+*(z), z+≤z≤h near the upper and lower surfaces of the bar, respectively, using reconstructive mathematical formulas.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining distribution of residual stress components with high surface gradients in a specimen in the form of a prismatic bar of rectangular cross-section, cut from a structural element or a metal product.
