FIELD: railways; devices for warning of track workers.
SUBSTANCE: signalling device for monitoring and warning on approaching rolling stock is made completely independent from used communication systems in railway infrastructure and with possibility of warning and/or informing on the basis of audio and visual information. Signalling device comprises an audio receiver, a video recorder, an audio speaker and a flashing light or beacon. Sound receiver is configured to determine propagation of sound wave from rolling stock. Video recorder has a function for recognizing objects. Sound speaker is made with possibility to supply sound signal of required frequency and volume, and the flashing light or beacon is configured to supply a visual signal with a certain flicker frequency to alert and attract the attention of workers performing work on/or near railway tracks.
EFFECT: improving safety during work on railway tracks.
