FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, namely to ultra-wideband emitters of wide-angle scanning. Outer edges of metal layers are made in cardioid shape using the following formula:
 
 where t varies from 0 to 2π with step  ; 54 impedance inserts of H-shape are introduced into the opening of the radiator, of which 22 inserts have size of 12×12 mm with cutouts with size of 4×4 mm, and 32 inserts have size of 6×6 mm with cutouts measuring 2×2 mm and are located with pitch of 1 mm from each other, wherein the extreme row of impedance inserts is located at distance of 3 mm from the edge of the dielectric substrate.

EFFECT: reduced electrical dimensions of the radiator, increased coefficient of overlapping of the operating frequency band by level the VSWR ≤ 3 and increase in the sector of scanning angles of the emitter in the E- and H-planes by level the VSWR ≤ 3.
