FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurophysiology, and can be used to assess the fact and extent of brain damage in rats. Blood flow velocity is assessed in real time by laser speckle-contrast imaging using RWD Laser Speckle Contrast Imaging System, which is set at distance of 10 cm from the brain. To maintain constant temperature of investigated region 37 °C STINGRAY ST-FH1053B air heater is used. To estimate the temperature distribution of the investigated area, a portable thermal imaging camera UNI-T UTI165K is used, which is installed at distance of 30 cm from the investigated area.
EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy of examination and reliability of evaluation of severity of brain damage due to evaluation of blood flow velocity in real time using laser speckle-contrast imaging.
