FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental oncology, and can be used for intravital radiation imaging of malignant neoplasms of internal organs. In experimental animals at the stage of drug-induced sleep, access is provided to the peripheral vein — the tail, in the middle part of which an intravenous cannula is installed with a contrast flow rate of 17 ml/min and an infusion system is connected to control the flow of radiopaque substance. Next, the test animal is introduced into the gantry of a computed tomograph, then the radiopaque substance is supplied at a rate of 0.25 ml/min, and the area of interest is scanned.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to assess the accumulation of a contrast agent in areas of interest and/or pathological foci without disturbing the basic physiological parameters of the vital activity of the body of a laboratory animal due to a lower concentration and higher fluidity of the contrast agent used.
