FIELD: educating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to training models or simulators for training to control vehicles and can be used as a simulator for training on-site taxiing techniques. Proposed device for training on-site taxiing comprises top and bottom base plates and ball bearing arranged there between and secured on each of them in such a way that it is located between them in their central part. Ball bearing cages are made with variable height in plane of base plates so that rounded projections of upper cage in initial position are located opposite rounded recesses of lower cage. Bearing balls are installed in the upper cage, and on the upper base plate there are vertical flat stops, one adjoining the inner side of the tire, and the other one – to the outer one, having the possibility of moving from the centre of the upper support plate-base to its outer edge depending on the width of the tire with subsequent fixation. Upper support base plate has the possibility of vertical movement along the axis of its rotation.
EFFECT: increased level of realism of vehicle control on fixed vehicle when performing taxiing techniques due to stabilization of controlled wheels and resistance to their turning.
