FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry, namely to production of a compound, which can be used in medicine, clinical laboratory diagnostics, biochemistry, molecular biology, virology, food industry, criminology as a complexing reagent of DNA, oligonucleotides, leading to aggregation of nucleic acids and formation of a precipitate. Disclosed is 5-[4'-(1''-methylindole-2''-yl)phenyl]-10,15,20-tris(N-methylpyridin-3'-yl)porphyrin triiodide of formula given below, as well as its application for precipitation of nucleic acids from solution.
EFFECT: obtaining a novel water-soluble porphyrin with high output, which exhibits the property of a precipitant of nucleic acids and oligonucleotides from a solution.
