FIELD: industrial microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: what is presented is a strain of methane-oxidising bacteria Methylococcus capsulatus SL1, deposited in the Russian National Collection of Microorganisms under registration number VKM B-3849D, as a producer for producing microbial protein from natural gas.
EFFECT: invention reduces the accumulation stage of the technological cycle of producing microbial protein from natural gas while maintaining total productivity and protein content in the biomass.
