FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiology, and can be used for prediction of probability of unfavourable cardiovascular events in patients with ischemic heart disease and abdominal obesity, having undergone planned coronary myocardial revascularization by means of stenting. Patients' blood is sampled, omentin-1 concentration is determined. If the value is more than 12 ng/ml, a high probability of developing unfavourable cardiovascular events within 12 months after coronary revascularization is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides an affordable, effective and pathogenetically grounded prediction of the probability of developing unfavourable cardiovascular events in patients with ischemic heart disease and abdominal obesity, having undergone planned coronary myocardial revascularization, by determining the content of serum omentin-1, which enables to personalize the approach to patient management.
