METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF GAS SEPARATION HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANES Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC B01D67/00 C08J5/22 B01D69/08 B01D71/68

Abstract RU 2835433 C1

FIELD: wet spinning methods.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wet spinning methods and can be used for the production of gas separation hollow fiber membranes. The production method of gas separation hollow fiber membranes includes loading into a mixing tank of 25-30 wt.% polysulfone, 12.5-15 wt.% polyvinylpyrrolidone, while the ratio of the mass fractions of polyvinylpyrrolidone and polysulfone is 1/2, and the rest is N-methylpyrrolidone. The mixture is heated to a temperature of 85-95 °C, after which it is degassed and continued mixing to a homogeneous state, while the polymer solution cools to a temperature of 24-25 °C. The resulting polymer solution is fed into a spinneret, and a coagulation solution containing 45-60% by weight of N-methylpyrrolidone in distilled water is fed into the spinneret. After passing through the air gap between the die and the surface of the coagulation solution, the fiber enters the coagulation solution bath, then the fiber is pulled out and placed in the washing bath. After washing, the fiber is placed in a bath with a solution consisting of 1 wt.% polyvinyltrimethylsilane in toluene. The resulting fiber is dried in air and wound onto a drum.

EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in energy and resource consumption in the production of gas separation hollow fiber membranes with a coating thickness of up to 500 nm and a pore size of up to 10 nm.
