FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a flavouring agent, a composition containing such an agent, a smoking article and a food product. Flavouring agent is a compound of formula 1
where n is integer 1 or 2; M is selected from alkali and transition metals; R is a straight or branched alkyl group containing from 1 to 30 carbon atoms; and component A is a component derived from a flavour compound containing at least one of the following: an aromatic ring, an aliphatic ring and an aliphatic chain with a hydroxyl group, wherein the hydroxyl group participates in the carbonate linking group (); and fragment A' corresponds to a flavour compound without a hydroxyl group.
EFFECT: flavouring agent in which flavouring components are released during thermal decomposition under the effect of heat and have high chemical structural stability at room temperature.
