FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and represents a strain of methanol-oxidising bacteria Methylobacterium populi BF22-44M, deposited in Bioresource Center All-Russian Collection of Industrial Microorganisms (BRC VKPM) of National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" – Genetika under registration number VKPM B-14346, as a producer for microbial protein mass production. Strain activity is up to 5.2 kg×m3/hour. Concentration of biomass at the outlet of fermenter is 18-21 g/l with content of crude protein in biomass of 70-75%. Invention widens the range of products for producing microbial protein mass. New highly productive strain of methanol-oxidising bacteria Methylobacterium populi is created, which is used to obtain a microbial protein mass with the possibility of utilization during cultivation of hazardous organic wastes (methanol) without damage to the environment.
EFFECT: strain is resistant to change in cultivation conditions.
