FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing polyetherketoneketone (PEKK). Described is a method of producing polyetherketoneketone (PEKK), which consists in performing the following steps: a) mixing 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene (1,4-EKKE), terephthaloyl chloride (TPC), isophthaloyl chloride (IPC) with an aprotic solvent while cooling to obtain a reaction solution; b) mixing the Lewis acid and the reaction solution to obtain a product mixture containing a PEKK-Lewis acid complex; c) deactivating the PEKK-Lewis acid complex by contacting the product mixture obtained at step b) and an aliphatic alcohol, followed by addition of water to obtain the PEKK, where the amount of water at step c) is not less than 25 wt.% of total amount of aprotic solvent and aliphatic alcohol; d) PEKK obtained at step c) is recovered by washing with a protic solvent and drying.
EFFECT: obtaining PEKK, the initial complex viscosity of the melt of which ranges from 40 to 900 Pa⋅s, and its gain after 10 minutes does not exceed 40% of the initial value, and reducing the probability of ingress of metals of the material of the reaction equipment into the polymer powder.
