FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of structural ceramic elements for equipment of foundry units for metallurgy of aluminium alloys. Disclosed is a method of producing ceramic articles based on natural wollastonite, involving preparation of an aqueous slip by simultaneous grinding of the following components in the following ratio, wt.%: natural wollastonite concentrate 75-79, kaolin 14-15, clay 7-10, with addition of water in amount of 29-30% of weight of dry components, liquid glass and soda ash, moulding articles, drying and firing. Silica fibre with length of 5-20 mm is additionally introduced into the slip in amount of 3.0-8.0% of the weight of the slip. Articles are moulded by vibratory casting with subsequent freezing of the slurry in silicone moulds and settling in a freezer at temperature from -10 to -18 °C. Duration of holding at negative temperatures is 1.5-5 hours.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the method and shorter time for the process of producing articles with high crack resistance and heat resistance.
