FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in electron-beam welding with through penetration and formation of penetration in conditions of limited access to inner cavity of vessels after welding using protective coating against welding spatter of inner surface of main material of manufactured vessel. Technical result is achieved by means of method of closed vessel manufacturing by electron-beam welding. Method includes: assembly of connected parts, installation of vessel and its electron-beam welding with through penetration, according to the invention, prior to assembly of parts of the vessel, a composition of sodium chloride on a water basis is applied on their inner surfaces and drying is carried out until formation of a crust-like coating which protects the said surfaces of parts from sticking of splashes of molten metal during one-sided electron-beam welding. Then, the produced protective coating is removed from the parts edges to be joined at distance of 5-10 mm from the groove edge. Upon completion of welding, coating with adhered splashes of molten metal is removed by repeated washing with water of the obtained vessel with further dehydration with ethyl alcohol until requirements for class of its inner surface are met.
EFFECT: proposed technical solution makes it possible to provide protection in special conditions during electron-beam welding, does not create high vapour pressure, which prevents provision of deep vacuum, and removal of coating in conditions of limited access; besides, the protective coating is economical to use.
