FIELD: performing operations; vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of treating a part of a car body, painted with a coating to increase the transmission of radar waves, to a painted part of a car body and use of a metal-containing particle converted into a transparent oxide under the effect of laser radiation for realizing said method. Said method includes the following steps. Providing a car body part painted with a coating containing metallized pigments, interference metallised pigments or metal-containing particles, which at least partially contain a metal part, partially transparent for laser radiation with wavelength of 266–10,600 nm. Through said metal part, at least 0.2% of laser radiation with at least one wavelength in said wavelength range penetrates. Laser irradiation of at least one area of the car body part painted with coating is carried out. Laser irradiation is carried out with possibility of initiating melting of at least metal part of metallized pigments, or interference metallized pigments, or metal-containing particles with change of shape factor of said pigments or metal-containing particles.
EFFECT: higher transmission of electromagnetic waves by a car body with a pigment-containing coating.
