FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing granulated calcium stearate, which is used in production of rubber, rubber, plastics, paint, metallurgy, tire, pulp and paper, petrochemical, mining, pharmaceutical and food industries. Method involves a step of producing calcium stearate by mixing stearic acid, calcium oxide and water, followed by intense mixing at temperature of 60-80 °C for 2-4 hours. Further, calcium stearate is washed in hot isopropyl alcohol heated to 50-60 °C, and then granulation of calcium stearate with subsequent drying.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption while maintaining high output of calcium stearate.
