FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used for treating deforming injuries of metatarsophalangeal and metatarsal-sesamoid joints using a collagen membrane. Arthrotomy of the first metatarsal-phalanx joint, osteochondral exostosis and involved sections of the articular cartilage of the head of the first metatarsal bone to the subchondral bone and preparation of bed for installation of membrane by its microfracturing and subsequent fixation of collagen membrane on head of first metatarsal bone. Additionally, arthrotomy of metatarsal-sesamoid joint is performed. During the preparation of the bed for the collagen membrane installation, its microfracturing is performed with pin 1 mm thick at depth of 5 mm. After the bed is prepared, the collagen membrane is fixed transosseously, thus performing the articulation of the head of the first metatarsal bone with the articular surface of the proximal phalanx of the thumb and with the articular surface of the sesamoid bones.

EFFECT: method provides early restoration of mobility of the first toe, reduced pain syndrome and reduced risk of recurrent cicatricial-adhesive process in the area of the first metatarsal-phalangeal and metatarsal-sesamoid joints by fixing the collagen membrane on the head of the first metatarsal bone and the area of the first metatarsophalangeal and metatarsal-sesamoid joints.
