FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for production of hexagonal pipe billets with turnkey size 257+1.5/-1.0x6±1.0x4300+80/-20 mm from low-plasticity steel “04Х14Т5Р2Ф” with boron content from 2.01 to 3.5% for compacted storage in cooling ponds of nuclear power plants and transportation of spent nuclear fuel. Thin-wall pipe billets with size of 288x12x5500 mm are produced by centrifugal casting with diameter tolerance ±0.5% and wall thickness ±5.0%, end cuttings are removed to produce pipe billets with size of 288x12x5000 mm. Boring and turning are performed on machines with servo system into cylindrical pipe billets with size 284.75+1.5/-1.0x6±1.0x5000 mm. Pipe billets are warmly shaped to hexagonal pipe billets with turnkey size 257+1.5/-1.0x6.0±1.0x4300+80/-20 mm. Boring and turning into cylindrical pipe billets with size 284.75+1.5/-1.0x6±1.0x5000 mm is carried out with medium removal of metal to the side when boring the inner surface Δ1=4.5 mm, and when turning the outer surface Δ2=1.5 mm.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of geometrical dimensions of hexagonal pipe billets, reduced consumption coefficient of metal and increased efficiency.
