Abstract RU 2836287 C1

FIELD: performing operations.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for production of hexagonal pipe billets with turnkey size 257+1.5/-1.0×6±1.0×4300+80/-20 mm from low-plasticity steel 04Х14T3Р1Ф with boron content from 1.3 to 1.8% for compacted storage in cooling ponds of nuclear power plants and transportation of spent nuclear fuel. Thin-wall pipe billets with size of 288×12×5500 mm are produced by centrifugal casting with diameter tolerance ±0.5% and wall thickness ±5.0%. End cuttings are removed to produce pipe billets with size of 288×12×5000 mm. Boring and turning are performed on machines with servo system into cylindrical pipe billets with size 284.75+1.5/-1.0×6±1.0×5000 mm and performing warm profiling of pipe billets into hexagonal pipe billets with turnkey size 257+1.5/-1.0×6.0±1.0×4300+80/-20 mm.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of geometrical dimensions of hexagonal pipe billets, increased productivity, reduced consumption coefficient of boron-containing steel.
