FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a plant for the production of hexagonal pipe billets with turnkey size 257+1.5/-1.0x6±1.0x4300+80/-20 mm from steels with boron content from 1.3 to 3.0% for manufacture of racks for storage in cooling ponds of nuclear power plants and transportation of spent nuclear fuel. Plant comprises a machine for casting centrifugally cast billets, machines for removing end trim, machines with a tracking system for boring and turning billets, a degreasing bath, installation for induction heat treatment, installation of USC, machine for drilling holes for pulling chain of roll forming mill, mechanism for coating pipes with salt lubricant, shaping mill with inductor for warm shaping, bath for degreasing and washing, installation for heat treatment, section for marking and cutting pipes to measured length, machine for selection of templates, press for straightening of hexagonal pipe billets with deflection boom exceeding permissible.
EFFECT: increase accuracy of geometrical dimensions of hexagonal pipe billets, increase of productivity of production of hexagonal pipe billets and reduction of consumption coefficient of boron-containing steel.
