FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for elimination of retinal wedging when draining subretinal fluid in episcleral surgery of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment of any location, height and length. For this purpose, a point retinotomy is performed from the side of the sclera through a drainage sclerotomy at the point of retinal penetration into the sclerotomy hole. Further, sclerocompression is performed in this area. Subretinal fluid is drained. Then zone of iatrogenic point retinotomy is blocked with episcleral filling. Coagulation of areas of ruptures on adjacent retina is performed.
EFFECT: invention provides elimination of retinal penetration in the area of draining sclerotomy, adjoining retinal detachment, avoiding the need to perform vitrectomy, avoiding recurrences of the disease and the need for repeated treatment.
