FIELD: performing operations.

SUBSTANCE: installation relates to the field of treatment of surfaces of dielectric objects by microwave electromagnetic field and can be used for heating and defrosting of soil, recovery of asphalt-bitumen coating of road bed and soft roofs on a bitumen basis, soil disinfection. Microwave apparatus for processing surfaces of dielectric objects comprises a working chamber with at least three openings for connection of at least three waveguide-slot radiators, mounted on a frame, a screw electric drive with a drive rod connected to the working chamber. In the upper part of the working chamber there installed are waveguide tubes for removal of moisture vapours from the working chamber and for connection of contactless pyrometers. A flexible metal screen is attached to the lower part of the working chamber. Brackets with units of rotating ball supports are attached to lateral sides of the working chamber, which are made with possibility of movement along guide structures located on the frame. Each of the waveguide-slit radiators is connected to two microwave generators. Microwave generators and screw electric drive are electrically connected to control unit.

EFFECT: uniform treatment of the surface of a dielectric object with a microwave electromagnetic field and providing uniform heating of the surface of the object.
