FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science, namely to veterinary pharmacology and toxicology. In laboratory animals, general anaesthesia is induced using a combination of an aqueous solution of xylazine, tiletamine, zolazepam, and bis-dimethylsulphate of bis-dimethylaminoethyl ether of succinic acid, mixed in equal parts. Combination of preparations is administered in dose of 40 mg/kg in total amount of active substances intramuscularly.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to carry out humane euthanasia of laboratory animals in experiment, due to single introduction of a solution of a composition of preparations, combining analgesic, anxiolytic, sedative and muscle relaxant action, which in turn makes it possible to reduce the time from the stage of administering the solution to the onset of unconsciousness with subsequent onset of death.
