SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices for cleaning air in a local area, for example, a nail technician, a stylist, a cosmetologist. When implementing the method, a fan housing with inlet and outlet holes and a motor-fan is installed in the lower part of the air purifier housing, the filtration unit is mounted by detachable installation. Lower opening of the fan housing is connected to the opening in the lower part of the air cleaner housing, and the upper opening of the fan housing is connected to the filtration unit. In the upper part of the filtration unit, a cylindrical air filter with a plug in the lower part is mounted, then the distance from the walls of the cylindrical filter to the walls of the filtration unit is gradually increased, while measuring the sound power value of the operating air cleaner until the noise power value decreases by less than 2 % with the next increase in the distance between the cylindrical air filter and the filtration unit, thereafter, geometrical dimensions of filtration unit are recorded for used motor-fan and cylindrical air filter.

EFFECT: reduced noise power of operating local air purifier, improved sanitary and hygienic indices of operator workplace of local air purifier.
