FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, in particular to a method of producing a collagen substance. Method of producing collagen substance from cattle dermis involves preparation of raw materials, grinding into plates with size from 0.5 to 1 cm², degreasing in sufficient amount of hexane for 30-60 minutes at t = 60-68 °C and mixing on a magnetic mixer with heating, drying at t = 60 °C to constant weight, alkaline treatment with 20% sodium hydroxide solution at t = 95-100 °C, washing material with 2 l of running cold water to pH = 7-8, filtration and drying at t = 95-100 °C, acid treatment with 90% acetic acid at t = 100-110 °C for 2-3 hours, deposition of collagen by pouring into acetone or dioxane slowly in a thin stream with active stirring, separation from mixer and vessel walls, drying at t = 45-60 °C for 6-12 hours until complete evaporation of acetone, grinding of product at mill, sieving on a sieve.

EFFECT: invention provides reduced content of impurities, reduced time for obtaining collagen, obtaining collagen of high degree of purity with high output of the end product.
