FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to surgical dentistry and maxillofacial surgery, in particular to elastic absorbable chemically cross-linked collagen sponge, which is designed to stimulate an increase in the volume of soft tissues in the mouth area. Sponge contains 60–96 % (wt/wt) of collagen and 4–40 % (wt/wt) of elastin, which, according to mercury porosimetry data, contains interconnected pores with an average diameter of 50 to 90 microns, and a component of at least 80 % porosity with pores with the diameter of more than 10 microns, the temperature of onset equal to from 45 to 57 °C, and density in a dry state, which equals from 50 to 65 mg/cm3. Also the method of obtaining a collagen sponge and its use as an implant in the oral cavity is described.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides for a regenerative collagen device, which is biologically compatible, resorbable in vivo, is well integrated into the tissue, so as to provide an uncomplicated cure and is able to withstand the effects of mechanical forces, acting as a framework, which maintains the volume of tissue for a sufficient time during wound healing after implantation.
