SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of assembling pneumatic tyres. Technical result is achieved by a method of assembling pneumatic tyres, in which a frame bracelet and a ring blank are assembled from layers of predominantly metal cord breaker. It is stretched from inside along circumferential perimeter by plane-parallel movement of drums, combined with frame bracelet, rolled, tread is applied and process is completed by tyre moulding and curing. Wherein the outer profile of the central part of at least one of the tension drums is made convex in the centre of the drum. Wherein said drum can be divided in two or three parts over generatrix length and radially shifted relative to each other.

EFFECT: providing uniform and consistent tension of threads mainly of metal cord of breaker bracelet and reducing forces at plane-parallel movement of drums.
