SUBSTANCE: present invention discloses an energy-transmitting fibre and a method for production thereof, and a fibre laser. Energy-transmitting fibre comprises core and cladding layers, wherein from the centre of the energy-transmitting fibre to the outer wall of the energy-transmitting fibre, the core layer comprises an inner layer, an inner submerged layer and an outer layer, which are applied in series, and the cladding layer is applied to the outer wall of the outer core layer; wherein along direction perpendicular to direction of length of energy-transmitting fibre, core inner layer cross-section has a round shape, cross-section of inner submerged layer has annular shape, core outer layer intermediate wall cross-section has a round shape, outer wall of the cross section of the outer layer of the core has a rectangular shape, inner layer of core and inner immersion layer are arranged concentrically, and the outer core layer is centrally symmetric along the centre of the inner core layer, wherein at least two of the inner core layer, the inner submerged layer and the outer core layer have different refraction indices.
EFFECT: improved homogeneity of light beam energy.
