FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental aerodynamics, in particular to a device for measuring thrust of a flapping wing of an aircraft, and can be used in experimental aviation equipment when designing and investigating aircraft with a flapping wing (ornithopter). Device comprises a lodgement fixed on a plastic adapter fitted on a metal rod placed in a measuring unit mounted on a beam, and a rotating platform fixed on a vertical axis connected to the base. Measuring unit is equipped with a movable carriage on which a metal rod is held. Inside the measuring unit there are horizontal and vertical strain gauges configured to transmit data on lift and angular velocity of the aircraft to a control device mounted on the beam with a step motor configured to control the rotation of the platform and measure the angular velocity of the beam. At the same time on the beam there is additionally a transmitting unit made with possibility of measuring signals transmission for processing.
EFFECT: possibility of measurement of aerodynamic characteristics of aircraft, created lift thrust, measurement of flight speed of aircraft without use of wind tunnel, measurement of thrust force depending on change in inclination angle of aircraft with flapping wings.
