SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for synthesis of high-molecular polyalkylene sulphides, including polyalkylene sulphides, containing disulphide bonds, characterized by that initiators and activators for polymerisation of initial thiiranes, organic-soluble salts of alkali and alkali-earth metals are used based on substances of the following classes: dithiocarbonates, dithiocarbamates, thiocyanates in free form or in form of complexes with crown ethers, as well as carboxylates, thiocarboxylates and alcoholates in the form of complexes with crown ethers, except for the use of potassium O-methylxanthate in free form and in the form of complexes with 18-crown-6 ether for polymerisation of propylene sulphide, O-isobutylxanthogenate of potassium in free form for polymerisation of propylene sulphide and macroinitiator MPEG5KX for polymerisation of propylene sulphide.

EFFECT: stable production of high-molecular polyalkylene sulphides at high rate without heating the system.
