FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and specifically to a novel method of determining residual content of piperazine in biological tissues of animal origin. Method for determining residual amounts of piperazine involves using isotopically labelled piperazine as an internal standard, extraction of analysed compound with 2% aqueous solution of formic acid, purification of the extract on a reversed-phase sorbent modified with cation-exchange functional groups, concentration of purified extract, derivatizing the concentrate with dansyl chloride to a bisdansyl derivative of piperazine and isotopically labelled piperazine, extraction of bisdansyl piperazine derivative with ethyl acetate, final concentration, dissolving the residue in deionised water with 0.5% formic acid and analysis by HPLC-MS/MS using reversed-phase chromatography and registration by two mass transitions in multiple reaction mode.

EFFECT: development of a new method for determination of residual amounts of piperazine in biological tissues and objects of animal origin.
