FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of mobile objects orientation on the ground and can be used to locate vehicles on territory, including settlements. Disclosed is a method of determining the location of a person using a mark on his hand luggage, which includes applying a mark on the hand luggage, obtaining information from the mark on the hand luggage, its identification and determining the location of the person. Information about a person is obtained by means of video cameras, the location of which is known in advance, which are fixed on the ground and connected to a remote server. Photo and/or video image and/or description of the mark on hand luggage, as well as photo and/or video image and/or description of the hand luggage itself are previously transmitted to a remote server, wherein the light sources are used as the mark and/or as part of the mark. Result of video recording is assigned a feature which confirms the location of the person in coordinates of the device with the help of which the hand luggage is video recorded. Data containing video recording results is transmitted to a remote server, the obtained video recording results are recognized and the person is identified by comparing the video recording results and the mark data on hand luggage, which were transmitted earlier. In case of positive identification, information on the location of the person is transmitted to the user, wherein to obtain information, the user sends a corresponding request using communication means.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining location of an object without using satellite navigation systems.
