FIELD: fire-fighting equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for fire detection. Detection of fire source is carried out by examining sections of conductors of electric wires made by cold deformation, subjected to thermal action and located in different zones of fire, wherein a physical parameter is determined, which is the number of bends of the wire before its destruction, and the zone of greatest thermal damages associated with the fire source is detected by the minimum values of this parameter.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of detecting a fire source using a simple and reliable method.
