FIELD: research and examination of fires.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to detect residues of combustion intensifiers on objects removed from the site of a fire. A method for determining combustion intensifiers such as kerosene, gasoline, diesel fuel in the study of fires involves analysing their residues on a gas-liquid chromatograph with a specific detector for certain substances. A flame photometric detector is used as a detector, and sulphur-containing substances are used as certain substances, while dibutyl sulphide and dibutyl disulphide are determined for kerosene, benzothiophene and dimethyl disulphide are determined for gasoline, and benzothiophene, dibutyl disulphide, and dibenzothiophene are determined for diesel fuel.

EFFECT: reducing the number of control samples and analyses and increasing the accuracy of determination.
