FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering for processing audio data. Technical result is achieved by decoding the low-frequency component of the audio signal; creating a set of signals of the analysed subbands of the low-frequency component of the audio signal; receiving information associated with the fundamental frequency Ω sound signal; selecting the first signal of the analysed subband and the second signal of the analysed subband from the set of signals of the analysed subbands; generating a synthesized subband signal from a first analysed subband signal and a second analysed subband signal, wherein the amplitude of the signal of the synthesized subband is based on the average value of amplitudes with gain correction of the first and second signals of the analysed subbands, and the phase of the signal of the synthesized subband is based on the weighted sum of the phases of the first and second signals of the analysed subbands, wherein the weight coefficients applied to the phases of the first and second signals of the analysed subbands are integers; and generating a high-frequency component of the audio signal from the signal of the synthesized subband.
EFFECT: avoiding generation of audible artefacts when switching in the middle of a signal with one fundamental tone or a signal with a fundamental tone dominating on a weaker complex background.
