FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to grinding methods and can be used in all branches of machine building in the manufacture of parts that have large technological allowances for mechanical processing. Proposed method comprises imparting rotary motion and positioning motion to grinding wheel to preset depth of grinding while machined part or grinding wheel is fed by lengthwise feed. Grinding wheel or machined part is additionally imparted with oscillating movement along curvilinear trajectory, having radius of curvature exceeding radius of external surface of grinding wheel, or along rectilinear trajectory, having inclination to direction of longitudinal feed at specified angle, determined by given relationship.
EFFECT: productivity of processing by plunge-cut flat-profile deep grinding is increased.
