FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metal cutting and can be used to form radial end grooves on turbine parts of a gas turbine engine on numerically controlled profile grinders. A part is installed on a numerically controlled profile grinder, during the finishing phase, the concave wall and the convex wall of the radial end groove are successively treated with a profile grinding wheel made of a superhard material. In the first variant, a roughing step is additionally performed before the finishing step, namely the radial end groove in the workpiece with a reinforced cutting wheel is cut, further, the concave wall and the convex wall of the radial end groove are milled successively by a T-shaped cutter with a diameter of 10…50 mm, for finishing an allowance 0.01…0.5 mm is left. In the finishing step, the concave wall and the convex wall are serially grinded by a T-shaped grinding wheel made of a superhard material of diameter 10…50 mm. In the second variant, a concave wall and a convex wall of the radial end groove are milled successively by a T-shaped cutter with a diameter of 10…50 mm, for finishing an allowance 0.01…0.5 mm is left, at the finishing stage, the concave wall and the convex groove wall are successively grinded by a T-shaped profile grinding wheel of a superhard material of diameter 10…50 mm.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows to exclude defects in the form of cracks and burns on the parts, improve the quality of the work surfaces, and increase the yield of accepted parts.
