FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of teaching schoolchildren and students principles of wireless data transmission, research of noise, encoding, compression and decoding of information, control of feedback systems. Disclosed is a training simulator for studying narrow-directional low-energy communication channels, which includes a microcomputer, a hardware-control platform with a receiver unit and a transmitter unit with infrared optoelectronic transceivers for simulating a communication process between autonomous devices over noisy wireless infrared communication channels. At that, the upper surface of the hardware-control platform comprises a uniform grid of holes with the possibility of installing additional reflecting and absorbing elements; receiver unit is a structure with an infrared transceiver and a video camera connected to the microcomputer of the hardware-control platform, to which the torque is transmitted from the motor providing the stroke ±45 degrees around the vertical axis. Transmitter unit is a carriage moving along guide rail with IR transceiver unit and QR-marker for recognition of receiver by video camera.

EFFECT: invention consists in creation of a device which physically simulates kinematics of autonomous devices with a system of software and hardware positioning of a receiver and a transmitter, performing a communication process between autonomous devices via noisy wireless infrared communication channels.
