FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of traffic control. Method of operation of the system for photo and video recording of violations of road traffic rules consists in the fact that monitoring of the transport stream, search for vehicles under search and/or not having third party only car insurance is carried out using special software of the photodetector controller computer unit. Video stream from video camera of photoradar controller through data transmission device arrives to computer unit of photoradar controller, where the recognized state registration plates of the vehicles caught in the video camera zone and available in the corresponding data base installed in the computing unit are compared, and with positive result of comparison and/or fixation of violation of traffic rules, photo and video materials are transmitted via data transmission means and GSM/Wi-Fi-antennas to computer of operator and/or data processing centre via GSM channel or via other communication channels.
EFFECT: simple and reliable method of detecting violations of traffic rules.
