FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rigid foam materials based on polymethyl methacrylate. High strength and at the same time low brittleness of said foam materials provides wide use of laminar materials with such a core – in the manufacture of rotor blades of wind power plants or in boat building, for making light structures, packaging material, energy absorbers in rescue equipment, for making architectural structural elements, as light diffusers in lighting equipment, for making furniture, for making vehicles, in the aerospace industry or for making models.
EFFECT: disclosed is use of rigid foam materials based on polymethyl methacrylate as a core material in layered elements.
