FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operation of motor transport machines, in particular to methods of determining environmental safety of failures of tractors, combines and other self-propelled machines, the consequences of which are the ingress of fuel and lubricants (oil) on the soil. When determining the environmental safety of machine failures, the consequences of which are the ingress of fuel and lubricating materials on the soil, data on the volume of fuel and lubricating materials supplied to the soil in case of failure of the hydraulic system are recorded, and the average weight of these materials is determined from the failures of the hydraulic system. Measurements of the volume of oil supplied to the soil are performed after elimination of consequences of failure. For this purpose, tank is used for filling machine housings with fuel and lubricants (for example, a measuring bucket) equipped with a scale for measuring volume of liquid.

EFFECT: simplification of determination of ecological safety of machine failures, consequences of which are ingress of fuel and lubricants onto soil.
