FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to maintenance of vehicles, in particular to methods for determining environmental safety of use of devices during maintenance of vehicles, tractors, combine machines and other self-propelled machines in field conditions. During maintenance of the machine, fuel and lubricants are fixed on the screen when using the tested and a group of similar devices. Obtained data are used to calculate average weight of materials on the screen when each type of service is performed with said instruments. Besides, similar devices are used to determine average square deviations of their average weight on the screen. Thereafter, the environmental safety factor of the device is calculated, and the average weight of materials on the screen is taken into account when performing the maintenance, the first and second periodic servicing with said instruments, as well as the periodicity of said services. Based on the calculated value of the environmental safety factor, the environmental safety of using the tested device during field maintenance of the machines is determined.
EFFECT: improved determination of environmental safety during maintenance.
