FIELD: car industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to maintenance of motor vehicles and their maintenance facilities. A method for the determination of environmental safety of maintenance of vehicles (3) consists in that fuel-lubricating materials are fixed on screen (2) by types of maintenance of a vehicle, and an average weight of these materials is calculated on the screen. Screen (2) is placed under maintained vehicle (3). An indicator of “penetration of fuel-lubricating materials into the soil” is taken as the main environmental indicator. First, all lubricating and refueling operations provided in daily, the first and the second periodic maintenance are carried out in a group consisting of several brands of similar vehicles (3). After that, a weight of materials, average for this group of vehicles (3), is determined on the screen in daily, the first and the second periodic maintenance. Then, lubricating and refueling operations are carried out in daily, the first and the second periodic maintenance of tested vehicle (3), with a given repetition, using the same technical means, and on the same workplace. An average weight of materials is determined on screen (2), when they are conducted in the process of the specified maintenance. In the end, an environmental safety coefficient of maintenance of the tested vehicle is calculated according to a mathematical formula.

EFFECT: simplification of experimental tests for determination of environmental safety of maintenance of vehicles in field conditions.
