SUBSTANCE: invention relates to encoding and decoding point cloud geometric data. Result is provided by selecting the predicted radius rpred associated with the point P of the point cloud to be encoded, which is represented by the first filled point P1 having an index λ1 of the first sensor and the index of the first sample in two-dimensional coordinate (s,λ) space, from at least one second radius, associated with at least one point detected by sensors, associated with sensor indices different from the index λ1 of the first sensor, and sampling indices, which are not more than index s1 of the first sampling.
EFFECT: high efficiency of encoding and decoding point cloud geometric data.
